About the department

 

Our Clinical Data Operations & Insights group is about 400 professionals spanning across India, Denmark, and North America. Data Management sits in Development where we manage clinical drug development worldwide, ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations, and business ethics while delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. Our newly formed Data Review and Cleaning group sits within the Data Management & Centralised Data Review Department led from our Bengaluru site. The Data Review and Cleaning group has been set up to centralize and modernize the data review and cleaning processes, implement new methodologies, and develop innovative toolkits supporting the transformation.

 

The Position

 

As Lead Clinical Programmer you will be responsible for driving the implementation of data analytics reports and dashboards and work with programmers to get the desired output. Work closely with data managers clinical data facilitators, and IT specialists to define requirements and deliver data solutions.

 

  • Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards for real-time clinical data monitoring and analysis for data review using Python or R.

 

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate reliable and scalable components into applications and support the development of intelligence solutions that help with data collection, transformation, and analysis.

 

  • Execute problem-solving and troubleshooting for procedures and processes that may arise in the course of a clinical trial. Create and execute reports within the clinical reporting systems using SQL, PL/SQL,  SAS, Python, R, etc.
  • Develop and manage robust data systems that consolidate data from various sources, including EDC systems, Veeva EDC, and clinical databases, and implement data pipelines for efficient data flow and processing, ensuring data integrity.

 

  • Perform Testing and debugging applications end-to-end for any glitches and performance issues and integrate fast data storage solutions

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

 

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or comparable degree in computer science, Information Technology clinical information management, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a programming background and preferably 5-plus years within clinical data management systems.
  • Good Understanding of protocol, CRF standards, and EDC data structure.
  • Proficient in working with programming languages: Python, R & R Shiny.
  • Knowledge of ETL and clinical data review model.
  • Hands-on experience using BI applications such as Tableau Power BI or Spotfire.
  • Knowledge of working experience of Amazon web services (AWS) and REST or other APIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience in project management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
  • Profound Knowledge of GxP and guidelines within drug development.
