Your new role
As a LabVantage LIMS Developer in our LIMS, Planning & Ecosystems team, you will play a central role in building, operating and maintaining the globalLIMS platform used across QC and R&ED at Novo Nordisk. You will act as a technical lead on our LabVantage 8.9 Upgrade Project and translate laboratory and business needs into compliant, scalable and secure LIMS solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and customising LabVantage LIMS and integrations, translating business and laboratory requirements into compliant technical solutions
- Building and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft
- Acting as technical SME during testing, GxP validation, deployments, releases and upgrades across environments
- Providing technical support to LIMS support teams, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents
- Analysing change requests, developing and demonstrating proofs of concept, performing unit testing and preparing risk assessments
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation (TDS, FDS) to ensure solutions meet GxP, data integrity and quality standards
- Collaborating closely with Line of Business, Quality, IT SMEs, architects, vendors and integration partners across a global stakeholder landscape

Within Enterprise IT sits LIMS, Planning & Ecosystems – the department responsible for supporting QC lab systems, encompassing system development, operation, maintenance and support. Based in our Global Business Services (GBS) hub in India, our team works in close partnership with colleagues at HQ and around the world to keep globalLIMS – our core LIMS platform – running as the reliable, compliant foundation for QC and R&ED at Novo Nordisk.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for an experienced LabVantage developer who combines strong technical craftsmanship with a quality mindset and a collaborative approach. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, including a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience working with LabVantage LIMS (v8.5 or higher) in a regulated Life Sciences environment
- Extensive experience developing LIMS solutions and system integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP services and middleware platforms (e.g. MuleSoft), along with strong Groovy scripting skills for calculations, static data building and business logic
- Demonstrated experience working with GxP-compliant applications, including data integrity, change control, CSV processes and validation expectations
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate laboratory and business needs into effective technical solutions and communicate confidently with laboratory users, Quality, IT, vendors and integration partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong interpersonal and decision-making abilities, and the flexibility to work under strict process guidelines and deadlines
- Knowledge of Python is a plus
