About the department
The Global Legal, Intellectual Property, and Security (GLIPS) department at Global Busi-ness Services (GBS) in Bangalore is a cornerstone of support for Novo Nordisk’s global legal and intellectual property functions. With a focus on efficiency and high-quality deliv-ery, GLIPS GBS operates across three key sub-teams, ensuring operational excellence, risk mitigation, and compliance across global operations. The department fosters a collab-orative and dynamic atmosphere, where diverse expertise drives success in the legal and intellectual property domains.

 


The position
As Junior Associate, Legal, you'll play a vital role in ensuring legal and compliance excel-lence across Novo Nordisk's global operations. 

You'll work closely with experienced lawyers, supporting critical legal processes that ena-ble our business to operate ethically and effectively while protecting patients and the or-ganization.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the review and approval of pre-approved and post-activity forms (PAFs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assisting lawyers with compliance checks, including reviewing documentation on third party representatives and conducting compliance assessments
  • Supporting due diligence activities such as automated, manual and travel sanc-tions screening assessments
  • Conducting legal and compliance assessments related to third party representa-tives, patient consent forms and related regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining compliance management tools, COUPA systems, SharePoint pages and other legal department platforms
  • Tracking, updating and reporting legal data through various reports, trackers, tools, presentations and training materials

 

Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors or master’s in law
  • 2+ years of working experience in the legal department of global corporations, fo-cusing on contracts, legal and compliance matters, due diligence, and risk assess-ments.
  • Prior experience in the legal sector with strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
