About the department
In Global Medical Affairs GBS (GMA GBS), we are a group of medical doctors, PhDs, project management professionals, medical writers, publication managers and graphic designers. GMA GBS core competencies are Communicating scientific and medical knowledge on the product to external scientific community and within the organization, delivering external medical events including in-house content development and project management and Publication planning.

 

The position
As a Global Medical Advisor, you will be involved in transforming clinical trial data into scientific and commercial communication to support Novo Nordisk (NN) products. You will be responsible for maintaining overview of internal and external clinical activities for specific product/project, provide market-oriented medical input to trial design, protocol development, and investigator selection in NN clinical trials, contribute to trial design protocol development and investigator selection according to market oriented medical input from Phase IIIa and IIIb and IV.

 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for KOL Engagement and execute global Health Care Professionals strategy, execute global meetings and support speakers in preparation for presentation of NN data at conferences and symposia and publication planning like supporting  execution of publication plan in collaboration with the Global Publication Team, drive development of publications according to publication plan and strategy for each product/project in collaboration with the Global Publication Team.

 

Finally, you will require to provide scientific and medical education support for the development, execute medical training and communication strategy. You need to provide internal medical guidance in terms of execution of global medical strategy, support alignment of relevant cross-functional business activities on specific product/project, support development of promotional materials initiated by Global Marketing

 

Qualifications
We are expecting you to hold the below skills and knowledge:

•    MBBS with PhD Or MD (preferable)  
•    Minimum 2 years of Medical advisor or related pharmaceutical industry experience is preferable
•    Experience with clinical medicine, clinical research and drug development
•    Understanding of pharma business, pharma marketing practices and pharma law and guidance 
•    Authored personal publications, held international medical presentations and written synopsis and protocols (preferable)
•    Strong professionalism, dedication and willingness to travel is essential
•    Strong clinical and/or research background in area of diabetes mellitus with interest in advanced scientific analysis and communication and experience in drug development
