The Position

As a Global Medical Advisor, will assist closely in providing strategic and medical guidance covering portfolio of products and functionally be a part of IO – SO (International Operations – Strategic Operations) Medical affairs team. Furthermore, you will be working on medical education and guidance materials across therapy areas. Additionally, will be responsible for Generation, Interpretation & Communication of scientific data to ensure proper usages of Novo Nordisk products. Execute clinical importance of new findings and impact in future and current treatment of diabetes and other serious chronic disorders. Deliver timely accurate and credible scientific medical guidance across medical affairs focus areas towards internal and external stakeholders. Entrusted to fulfil the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective collaboration between IO SO medical affairs team and acts as a liaison between Novo Nordisk and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Transforming clinical trial data into scientific and commercial communication, used to scope/plan the support of our products and provide early market access.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Regions and Affiliates, Global Research, Global Development, Strategy Access Marketing, Medical Affairs Regulatory Safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Global Key Opinion Leaders and provide input, develop and execute on global Health Care Professional strategy.
  • Support the development and execution of publication plan in collaboration with the publication team (Publication managers from global and IO-SO).

 

Qualifications

  • Should possess MBBS/M.D. in Medicine (Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Genetics etc./Any Specialization).
  • 1-5 years of clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated research experience and good medical/scientific writing skills (e.g. publications), i.e. ability to provide high quality literature review, abstracts, posters, and slide sets, and Manuscripts (complex) working from various data sources including clinical study reports, patient profiles, protocols etc.
  • Additional education and experience in project management/business administration / marketing is an added advantage.
  • Minimum one year of study or work in a country other than the native country is preferred.

Global Medical Affairs, GBS is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs, headquartered in Denmark (HQ), and is part of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated global medical advisors, global scientific advisors (medical writers), project managers, graphic designers and publication managers working together with the Global Medical Affairs department in Søborg, Denmark, the regional CMR departments, and the Medical Affairs department in the US affiliate of the company. Our core competencies include communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organisation, in-house content development, project management and publication planning for external medical events.
