About the department
The Commercial & Corporate Affairs – Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations. The Commercial & Corporate Affairs unit also supports BioPharma global marketing for Haemophilia and growth disorders. In Obesity Commercial Unit, we are focused on changing the way obesity is viewed and treated today, as well as increasing number of people who receive innovative treatments and quality care. In addition to driving innovative market development and communication efforts, the unit is responsible for the global commercialization and optimization of Saxenda® and Obesity & NASH pipelines.
The position
As a Global Forecasting Manager, your key responsibilities are providing analytical and consulting services in designing, delivering, and executing projects related to Insights & Forecasting (I&F) where you will create therapy level long term forecasts by engaging key stakeholders to arrive at assumptions for a strong analysis by using strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyse data. You will be responsible for processing various data files into useful analyses for stakeholders in I&F and support in ‘sanitisation’ and ‘check’ of data file (particularly from IMS) before uploading into system & subsequent report generation
- You will be responsible for conducting quality check of various reports and analysis related to I&F. Develop and implement complex mathematical and statistical models that relate sales or marketing activities to financial results.
- You will be responsible for Ad hoc reporting activities and participation in I&F projects and ensuring documentation is recorded and maintained to deliver high quality projects, prepare presentation and participate in meetings to deliver results and make recommendations thereby contributing to continuous improvement of processes.
- You are required to develop operating manuals for the deliverables that have been assigned.
- You should have core understanding of one of the therapy areas, the market dynamics involved and the flavour of the commercial side of the business for better analysis of key business issues to interpret results, generate insights and recommend strategies.
- This will help you to develop strong working relationships and effectively influence all levels of the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Pharma (B Pharma/M Pharma), Science/Biotechnology (BSc/MSc), Engineering (BTech/MTech) with 2+ years of relevant experience in Pharma Analytics industry is must. Along with Advanced level knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and working level knowledge of IMS MIDAS database and other Databases - ideally with knowledge about the diabetes therapy area, such as treatments and key market developments and dynamics.
- Good to have Consulting experience, VBA knowledge, Access & SAP system (Business Warehouse or Business Objects) knowledge. Prior experience in executing the data analysis including data pull, data preparation (sanitisation) and report generation.
- Ability to translate business problems into most efficient and effective analysis plan and executing the analysis including data pull, data preparation (sanitisation) and report generation. Ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders, (customers, vendors, consultants, and project teams.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture.
