Your new role
As a Global Customer Insights Lead, you will generate actionable customer & market insights that help shape business strategy across key therapy areas, providing recommendations that inform decision-making at brand, portfolio and corporate level. You will partner with HQ to solve complex business problems while owning advanced analytics, and AI/ML-driven solutions that power Novo Nordisk’s global insights engine.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparing and disseminating high-quality customer insights for Novo Nordisk therapy ar-eas such as diabetes, cardio, metabolic, obesity and/or liver (MASH) across markets
- Deliver analyses using patient-level and market datasets, including IQVIA LRx, LAAD, and MIDAS where relevant
- Contribute to business priorities by translating customer and/or market data into action-able insights or recommendations for upstream and downstream decisions e.g., clinical gate passages of an asset or launch of a brand
- Deliver descriptive, diagnostic, prescriptive and predictive analytics for the business
- Ensure robust data integration, analytics, automation and visualisation to strengthen ana-lytics foundation using SQL/Python, Databricks, PowerBI. Own the development & maintenance of patient analytics and business intelligence platforms
- Support platform and data warehouse development, data integration, governance, quality checks, and process optimisation
- Build strong partnerships across P&PS, regions, commercial teams, medical, IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align business insights needs, data inputs, insights frameworks, and present insights to project or broad audiences
- Contribute to operational excellence through automation, knowledge sharing, onboard-ing support, and continuous improvement
Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
You will join the Strategic Marketing & Insights P&PS GBS team in Bangalore – a dynamic and collaborative department dedicated to delivering high-quality analytics and insights that shape strategic decisions globally. Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, the team partners with cross-functional stakeholders across HQ, regions and affiliates to address key business priorities, with a shared ambition to make a meaningful impact on the patients we serve.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious, analytically strong data science & insights professional who thrives at the intersection of data, technology and commercial strategy. To succeed in this role, you bring:
A master's degree (preferably in a quantitative or management discipline) from a well-recognised institute, alongside an undergraduate degree in Pharma (BPharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc) or Engineering (BTech), with a strong academic track record
- 8+ years' experience in pharma analytics, with consulting and/or core-pharma experience considered a strong plus, and demonstrated ability to process and integrate large commercial datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to connect data to action-able insights solving business questions
Hands-on experience with SQL/Python (streamlit), Databricks, Power BI or similar tools. - Experience with patient analytics data sets (prescription/claims or prevalence) like IQVIA LAAD, LRx, Komodo or similar
- Experience with data engineering, automation, pipeline development, and AI/ML implementation, with moderate-high level of innovation & complexity
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner with cross-functional and present insights to senior audiences in a global matrix environment
- High level of ownership, independence, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to navigate shifting business priorities
- Knowledge of Novo Nordisk therapy areas considered an advantage
