Your new role
As Global Customer Insights Associate Lead, you will design, deliver and execute projects across market and patient data analytics, providing recommendations that inform decision-making at brand, portfolio and corporate level. You will partner closely with HQ, regions and affiliates, while taking technical ownership of key BI platforms that power our global insights engine.

 


Your day-to-day will include:

  • Preparing and disseminating high-quality customer and market insights for Novo Nordisk therapy areas such as cardio, metabolic, obesity and/or liver (MASH)
  • Contribute to business priorities by translating customer and/or market data into action-able insights or recommendations for commercial or pre-commercial senior management decisions e.g., clinical gate passages of an asset or launch of a brand
  •  Drive diagnostic, descriptive, prescriptive, or predictive analytics for the business priorities
  •  Driving the development of Patient Data Warehouse and supporting dashboard/BI plat-form build and management in Snowflake SQL/Python, Power BI and other tools, ensuring robust data integration, analytics, and visualisation 
  • Taking technical end-to-end ownership of BI systems and platform modernisation/migration, automation, optimisation to strengthen analytics foundation 
  • Partnering within global HQ to align business needs, data inputs, or availability, and communicate insights for broad audiences. Collaborate with Global, International or US operations for data when required 
  • Owning onboarding, training, and knowledge-transfer processes for new team members, including handover of complex analytics, dashboard refreshes, and operational routines 


Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
You will join the Strategic Marketing & Insights P&PS GBS team in Bangalore – a dynamic and collaborative department dedicated to delivering high-quality analytics and insights that shape strategic decisions globally. Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, the team partners with cross-functional stakeholders across HQ, regions and affiliates to address key business priorities, with a shared ambition to make a meaningful impact on the patients we serve.

 


Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious, analytically strong professional who thrives at the intersection of data, technology and commercial strategy. To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A master's degree (preferably in a quantitative or management discipline) from a well-recognised institute, alongside an undergraduate degree in Pharma (BPharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc) or Engineering (BTech), with a strong academic track record 
  • 5+ years' experience in pharma analytics, with consulting and/or core-pharma experience considered a strong plus, and demonstrated ability to process and integrate large commercial datasets 
  • Strong programming and data management skills (preferably SQL, Python, Databricks) and dashboard development experience (preferably Power BI), with working knowledge of patient & HCP datasets such as IQVIA LRx, LAAD/APLD, Komodo etc. Exposure to IQVIA MIDAS market value/volume data.  
  • Experience of working on projects with advanced analytics using AI/ML, automation, predictive analytics, data science will be preferred 
  • Proven ability to translate complex business questions into structured analysis plans, generate insights and recommend strategies, with knowledge of Novo Nordisk therapy areas considered an advantage 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong stakeholder management across geographies, and the confidence to influence and present recommendations to senior management 
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the flexibility to navigate shifting priorities in a global matrix environment
