The position

As a Global Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality monitoring and insights on competitor products, pipelines, and strategies within therapy areas such as CVD, CKD, NASH, and other chronic diseases. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating competitive insights through secondary/ desk research  and reporting key findings from scientific congresses and events.
  • Developing and maintaining competitor overviews and insights through agreed CI deliverables on ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
  • Driving regular updates of competition monitors and analyzing key competitor events.
  • Building strong internal networks with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and representing CI as a subject matter expert.
  • Geographical scope would be global, primarily for US, EU, Japan, and China. Candidate may need to attend and report from international scientific congresses. As a global CI Manager, travel is expected of up to 10% per year.
     

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in medicine or Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to process and interpret complex information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate scientific and commercial information to various organizational levels.
  • High adaptability and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to align competitive intelligence with business objectives.
  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to build strong networks.

 

About the department

The Global Competitive Intelligence Manager will be part of the Commercial GBS unit, responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas, including Commercial Planning, Multi-Channel Engagement, Marketing & Market Access, and Commercial operations. The unit also provides competitive assessments for Novo Nordisk therapy areas, supporting global commercial strategy, corporate strategy, and Research & Development (R&D) teams.
