The position

As a Global Communications Lead at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Work closely with the commercial team to develop and lead strategic communication plans that support business objectives.
  • Develop internal communication plans and tactics that drive awareness, understanding, and engagement also develop and lead communications strategies across the organization.
  • Lead disease awareness campaigns that support Novo Nordisk’s ambition within the therapeutic area.
  • Proactively engage and gather input from key stakeholders on global communication plans and activities, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and geographies and manage external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality execution of communication strategies.
  • Adhere to budgets, timelines, and quality requirements, while continuously improving on quality, cost, and time.


To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Global exposure of working with stakeholders across geographies.
  • A degree in communication/business, public relations, or journalism
  • 9+ years of working experience within the area of brand communication, with documented results from a wide range of focus on strong internal communication.
  • 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a specific focus on Alzheimer’s disease being a plus.
  • Experience in a multinational organization and/or consultancy, demonstrating understanding of how communication can drive business performance and collaboration at a global level.
  • Experience in developing successful disease awareness campaigns with clear call-to-action and strong impact experience in consulting and training senior management. Ability to understand clinical trial data and having knowledge of disease understanding is an advantage
  • Communication and building reputation.
  • Proven results in managing complex, cross-organizational projects
  • Experience with medical communications.


About the department

The Commercial – GBS unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial – GBS. This includes Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, and Commercial Operations. The department also supports BioPharma global marketing for Haemophilia and growth disorders. Located in Bangalore, India, our team is dynamic and fast-paced, working together to make a difference in the lives of patients worldwide.
