About the Department
Finance Partnering is part of General Management department in Novo Nordisk Global Business Services in India is responsible for the financial management of business units in GBS. In Finance Partnering you will be part of a young and ambitious team consisting of 10 talented employees. Our overall ambition is to create impact through Finance Partnering to our stakeholders by combining strong financial competencies with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate. To do this, we collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback and by giving challenging tasks and a high degree of responsibility
The Position
An ideal Finance Partner will be responsible for owning, driving, and continuously improving financial processes as outlined in the organizational matrix. The finance partner will be responsible for budgeting, financial management, business partnering, and ensuring process excellence within our financial operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide valuable insights and recommendations, ensuring that our financial governance is strong and aligned with the organization's goals. The Finance Partner will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that budget owners take necessary actions and provide in-depth financial analysis, including ledger scrutiny and cost per FTE analysis.
- Prepare and monitor financial budgets, ensuring alignment with actual expenditures, and lead Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) across business units, driving necessary actions through stakeholder collaboration.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor, providing insights and recommendations to management, ensuring proactive communication, and aligning financial strategies with business partnering & objectives.
- Process Excellence: Lead optimization and digitalization initiatives, such as Betti and ONE app projects, and collaborate on standardizing SLA billing processes.
- Financial Governance: Manage and enforce financial guidelines and compliance with internal and external regulations, proactively addressing financial performance issues and ensuring adherence to established timelines and processes.
- Departmental Leadership: Contribute to departmental planning and strategy, drive collaboration initiatives, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support the fulfillment of individual development plans.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong academic track record.
- A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience in the finance domain, including at least 3 years in a business partnering role.
- Strong ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with various stakeholders across the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including accrual management, invoicing, and purchase orders.
- Proficiency in PC tools with extensive knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and SAP BW; working knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to lead and drive initiatives to completion.
