The position
The Epidemiologist plays a critical role in shaping the scientific communication strategy, driving scientific recruitment and retention activities, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders. They have the authority to make decisions within their assigned responsibilities and collaborate with various teams to achieve departmental objectives.
- Conducting epidemiological research and analysis.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for providing input to clinical trial plans and real-world evidence (RWE) plans.
- Identifies and establishes relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Providing scientific expertise and guidance.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in epidemiological research or analysis.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial design and execution.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and International Professional Associations (IPAs).
- Proficiency in scientific communication and publication strategy development.
- Familiarity with medical education and training for healthcare professionals.
About the department
Global Medical Affairs, Bengaluru (GMA BLR) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. One of the team within GMA-BLR is the ‘Real-World Evidence’ team. The team consists of highly motivated and experienced global project managers, medical advisors, scientific advisors, medical writers and biostatisticians who cross-functionally work with global teams and medical affairs directors based out of Zurich, Switzerland and all regions and affiliates. This team is responsible for planning and execution of an RWE across therapy areas that are initiated in-line with the medical strategy.
