About the department

In Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, we enable Novo Nordisk to fulfil our purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.

 

Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 80 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.

 

A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to leverage holistic insights and smart tech to drive value in and from procurement. The Advanced Technology department is responsible for driving this journey.

 

The position

As a Digital & Process Lead, you will play a key role in developing invoice intake solutions to ensure Novo Nordisk is compliant with different e-invoicing mandates and deadlines in various jurisdictions, while collaborating with global stakeholder landscape to identify opportunities for Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) / Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) improvement and ensure seamless integration across systems.

 

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Stay up to date with and understand the requirement of evolving e-invoicing and Continuous Transaction Control (CTC) mandates in various jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including local Finance teams in different countries and IT to develop invoice intake solutions to comply with countries’ mandates and deadlines.
  • Configure, test and successfully implement solutions and ensure seamless integration across Coupa, SAP and other I2P related systems.
  • Contribute to sharpening and executing invoice intake strategy in close collaboration with other specialists within Corporate Procurement.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by sharing knowledge on best practices and relevant regulatory and technology trends within I2P domain.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in finance, digital transformation, and I2P/P2P processes, as well as deep understanding of e-Invoice channels/ solutions and ability to translate upcoming mandates into concrete technical developments.
  • Proven experience with I2P/P2P processes in a system context, experience with integrations being an advantage.
  • Extensive experience with Coupa, SAP along with other e-Invoice solutions, channels e.g., PEPPOL, SOVOS, etc. Hands-on experience with SAP DRC is a plus.
  • Experience with process mapping, document and optimisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical content into non-technical language.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
