About the department

Global IT India is a team of 400+ highly skilled IT professionals located in Global Service Centre (GSC) Bangalore. The strategic objectives of Global IT India are to support growth in a cost-effective manner and provide flexible working models and to enhance focus on operational excellence. Global IT India provides various IT services across Novo Nordisk, the services include, system management, project management, infrastructure management, compliance management, IT security management, process management and vendor management, IT security management, process management and vendor management.

 

The position

As a Department Assistant, we expect you to perform administrative tasks, department support activities, co-ordinate, schedule and manage department meetings. Additionally, you must follow-up and ensure closure of action points from the department meetings and must prepare & consolidate agenda and presentations for the department meeting. Besides, you must ensure communication is shared across teams and must assist management team with offsites and other cultural activities. We expect you to coordinate procurement and allocation of asset for department and must handle procurement of supplies for the department (IT Hardware, office supplies and others).

 

In addition to the above, you must coordinate with different support team’s like Recruitment, Finance, Procurement and others and must follow up on invoice submission and payments. Furthermore, you must handle the administration aspects of on-boarding new joiners in the department and must act as a point of contact for all administration related queries across Global IT India. We expect you to manage training related request to support department activities and must co-ordinate with department managers for allocating and tracking the training requirements and progress and must complete the assigned activities on time and report progress to management.

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent job experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Planning & organising
  • Service Oriented
  • Microsoft office expertise
  • Ability to collaborate & communicate across various stakeholders
  • Ability to represent Novo Nordisk in relation with users and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication both in written and oral
  • Large degree of flexibility and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
