Are you passionate about designing and delivering best-in-class procure-to-pay solutions? Do you have deep expertise in Coupa and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable architecture and integrations? If so, we are looking for a Senior Coupa Architect to join our team at Novo Nordisk.
The Position
As a Senior Coupa Architect you will:
- Lead the architecture and solution design for the Coupa platform, ensuring scalable, secure solutions that align business strategy with an enterprise mindset including defining and communicate architectural vision and strategy.
- Configure and optimise Coupa modules (Procurement, Sourcing, Invoicing, Supplier Management, etc.) and implement best practices.
- Design and build integrations between Coupa and SAP (our primary ERP), as well as other relevant systems.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, supplier management, finance and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliverables.
- Produce technical documentation, solution and reference architectures, runbooks and guidance for operations and support teams.
- Run workshops, write user stories and functional requirements, and act as the technical advisor on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach internal development and integration resources to secure delivery quality and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure standardisation and reusability across IT solutions.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional who has:
- 10+ years of procure-to-pay implementation experience and at least 5 years working with Coupa in an architect or lead consultant role.
- Proven and solid experience designing and implementing Coupa modules: Procurement, Invoicing, Sourcing, Supplier Management and Spend Analysis.
- Proven experience with Coupa solutions and complex integrations specifically with SAP.
- Experience with security, roles & permissions, and data governance within Coupa environments.
- Familiarity with GxP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and audit-compliant system design.
- Ability to produce solution architecture, technical specifications, test strategies and implementation plans.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies; comfortable facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar is required.
- Coupa certifications are advantageous.
About the department
The Digital Procurement Solutions department provides system support for Novo Nordisk’s finance and procurement processes. We ensure that Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and finance solutions are stable, secure and optimised so the business can operate efficiently across countries and functions. The team works closely with global business partners in procurement, supplier management, finance and HR to design, implement and maintain integration solutions—including strong integration between SAP as our primary ERP and our P2P platform Coupa.
