The position
As a Communications Partner at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Develop and execute comprehensive external communications strategies to enhance the organisation’s reputation among media, industry stakeholders, and the public.
- Manage PR and media relations, including crafting press releases, media statements, and briefing books for leadership, identify opportunities for positive media coverage and thought leadership while handling crisis communications in line with corporate PR guidelines.
- Build strong working relationships with media for corporate risk management and reputation building, oversee relationships with external communications agencies, PR firms, and design partners, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality campaigns.
- Drive initiatives to strengthen the organisation’s employer brand, lead campaigns for external awards and certifications, and position leadership for thought leadership and visibility.
- Generate compelling content for multiple channels, translating complex topics into engaging stories while ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and brand guidelines. Lead and execute cross-functional projects, bringing innovative approaches to communication challenges and adapting strategies to new situations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:
Need to have: -
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
- 7–10 years’ experience in external communications, preferably in a pharma/healthcare organisation and/or a Global Capability Centre (GCC).
- Proven track record in managing PR, media relations, and external branding initiatives. - Strong project management and agency management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (near-native proficiency).
- Experience working across cultures and time zones in a multinational environment. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to motivate and engage others, High degree of flexibility and adaptability to new challenges, Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
