The Position
As a Global Commercial AI Excellence Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible to lead AI Excellence/SWAT team and drive the acceleration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to optimize forecasting, payer evidence and pricing strategies. Responsible for highest quality deliverables according to the plan, driving innovation in AI/ML efforts. Responsible for driving the team performance, wellbeing and development. This function requires strong leadership and ability to collaborate across boundaries with HQ and regions, Business Areas & affiliates.

Responsible for high quality planning and execution of data, analytics and (Gen)AI strategy focused on but not limited to patient segmentation, risk prediction modelling, Price sensitivity and revenue optimization algorithms, new product & inline product forecasting.

Partner effectively with a cross functional team, including data engineering, data analytics, and line of business PSAP teams and prioritize new development work and ongoing maintenance based on business value, estimated effort, and individual skills and/or development goals.

Build and lead a team of data scientists and drive recruitment in the team and ensure high performing talent is hired and retained.

Drive Performance management through constant feedback mechanism to recognize and reward high performers and partner with the team in developing career journeys and ensure developmental opportunities.

Be a role model for the team and live the Novo Nordisk Way and responsible for employee wellbeing, health, and safety of team members.
Qualifications
-
University master’s degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences or equivalent.

Master’s degree/ bachelor’s with Minimum 10+ years of experience in data science, preferably within FMCG, banking/insurance, pharma or consultancy.

Documented experience with data science and Machine learning applications.

Specialized on forecasting, risk prediction, pricing analytics and modelling.

Fundamental understanding of Python, R, SQL, RDBMS, NoSQL databases and big data solutions.

5+ years leading a Data Science Team and 3+ years leading Business intelligence teams.

Strong experience in Project Management.
About the department
The Commercial, Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, and Commercial Operations. The unit also supports BioPharma global marketing for Haemophilia and growth disorders.
