About the department

Finance Global Business Services (GBS) in Bangalore, established in 2007, is responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for Headquarters in Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. Commercial Analytics, part of Finance GBS since June 2013, consists of dedicated analytics professionals providing best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global Organisation. We aim to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to processes through standardization and efficiency.

 

The position

As an Associate Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of rare disease markets, including competitive landscape, market dynamics, and emerging trends. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the rare disease market, including key players, product portfolios, and future opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesise relevant data and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Generate actionable intelligence through the utilisation of various data sources, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic KPIs by sharing insightful analysis derived from rare disease data.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualisations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Understand NNI (US) business expectations and work on different data sources like Komodo, IQVIA to arrive at actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand business objectives for creating efficient outcomes. Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high-end quality support.
  • Provide business support to the NNI Rare Disease Therapy Area Insights & Analytics team. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve critical business problems and develop strategic initiatives.

 

Qualifications

We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in pharma/ life science or other streams.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Data Analytics with Tableau, PowerPoint and Excel reporting, insights generation and recommendation.
  • Experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or data analysis within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on rare diseases therapy area would be a plus.
  • Relevant experience working with BI tools within analytical domain.
  • Technical skills – Tableau Advanced, Advanced Excel.
  • Soft skills - Expert in creating business presentation with excellent story telling abilities, Stakeholder Management.
  • Mid-level experience with Alteryx, Power BI and understanding of Qlik platform is a plus.
