The Position  

As an Associate Project Manager, you are expected to work with other GBS Consulting Project managers to support them drive key strategic initiatives for GBS. You will be assisting in various projects and leading some on a need basis. Projects could be cross-functional in nature, could be driving GBS 2026 strategy etc. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Strategy Consulting & Business Solutioning –
    Partner with global stakeholders (e.g., IO-SO, HQ) and internal GBS organisation as well as functional leadership to drive strategic consulting projects across research, drug development, regulatory, medical affairs, safety, quality, supply chain, commercial, marketing, and other areas.
    Drive workshops to solve problems at hand and facilitate stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Project Management - Prepare project plans including project scoping, design, validation and implementation phases, monitor project progress and escalate risks in appropriate forums to ensure successful project completion, track project meetings (MoM, agenda), project documentation (Case study, MoM, Memo etc.)
  • Keep updated on industry best practices in the field of change mgmt., GBS evolution and transformation best practices
  • Support GBS consulting colleagues as part of project workstreams to drive key strategic initiatives
  • Ad-hoc activities for General Management including supporting GBS management meetings through presentations, driving the agenda, ad hoc analyses.
  • Use problem solving skills to come up with a solution, design the solutions and work with the stakeholders to finalise approach
  • Prepare tools and templates that would help in delivering the project milestones, Drive workshops to solve the problem at hand
  • Set up a governance cadence for problem solving and solutioning
  • Assist in building relevant presentations, external meeting preparations, arranging field visits with peer companies (if required) and keep updated on industry best practices in the field of change management, GBS evolution and transformation best practices
  • Own and drive projects/initiatives across functions and cross-functional in nature with limited guidance from manager

 

Qualifications

  • You hold a master’s degree with 2-5 years of experience management consulting experience in a top tier consulting firm
  • Structure and organize ambiguous problems, tasks, and information, and be able to act independently
  • Solve key strategic problems applying standard consulting frameworks and develop recommendations.
  • Excellent proficiency with Office 365 skills (Ppt., excel and word).
  • High degree of flexibility and can shoulder additional workload when necessary.
  • Comfortable with strategic frameworks and tools such as Balanced scorecards, Issue trees, scenario planning
