About the department

You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role, you will be part of our Corporate Procurement team, which is responsible for the global indirect spend in Novo Nordisk of app. 90 billion DKK and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. With 180 employees based in Denmark, 300 employees in India, and globally 500 people working in procurement, we are a strategic partner to the execution of the company’s strategy.

The position

As Associate Manager, Operations Excellence – S2P, you will:

 

In collaboration with GPO organization, support in designing future-state processes and build implementation roadmaps that deliver operational efficiencies, improved controls and better user experience.

  • Establish and maintain standardized, documented processes while ensuring quick and effective issue resolution.
  • Drive operational excellence through proactive solutions, digital tools, automation, and AI, delivering globally aligned processes.
  • Manage cross-functional projects in procurement and finance, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and budget delivery while optimizing stakeholder collaboration.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including UAT for new digital solutions, process standardization, and addressing affiliate change requests.
  • Monitor performance metrics, mitigate risks, and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and control.

 

Qualifications:

 

We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Finance/Business Administration, International Business, IT Administration, or alike from a top-tier university.
  • 7–9 years of experience in process excellence roles within multinational corporations, managing user-facing workflows in shared services setups, and leading teams through influence.
  • Expertise in defining global process standards and designing solutions is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence using advanced technologies, including AI, and experience in designing, testing, and implementing AP workflows is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in managing S2P or I2P operations with a strong track record of improving KPIs by streamlining processes and eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Deep expertise in I2P processes and solid knowledge of other S2P processes, coupled with strong understanding of controls and compliance within S2P.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP (MM and FI modules) is mandatory.
