The position

As a Associate Lead Global Competitive Intelligence at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible to:

  • Provide technical and scientific intelligence using data-driven assessments on Digital Health (DH) for rare diseases such as Growth Hormone Deficiency, Turner’s Syndrome, Noonan Syndrome, SGA, XLH, Acromegaly, Haemophilia, hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell disease and thalassemia), and Rare Renal Disease.

  • Deliver competitive overview of DH focusing on connected drug delivery devices and solutions such as drug-device combinations, diagnostic AI solutions, supportive / add-on solutions, digital biomarkers, disease monitoring solutions, disease management solutions, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), digital therapeutics (DTx) and analysis of key market factors & technological trends

  • Drive process to establish an overview of near-, medium- and long-term challenges and opportunities posed to Novo Nordisk. Drive quarterly updates of Competition Monitors. Update internal CI reporting platforms like SharePoint, Monthly newsletters. Deliver regular updates with implications for the company, therapy area, portfolio or the market by identifying new trends, market events, assess landscapes, un-met needs etc.  Deliver ad-hoc deep-dives on select themes, including partner scans and technology landscapes.

  • Continuous track digital health activities, pharma, big-tech and med-tech initiatives, health tech investments, real-world or clinical evidence data from DH initiatives or from relevant partnerships across the ecosystem.

  • Ensure timely monitoring, analysis, and communication of all relevant competitor activities to the stakeholders.

  • Responsible for covering major scientific/technology congresses for the therapy area

             

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

  • 8+ years of working experience in the Competitive Intelligence industry focusing on the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.

  • Independently perform daily tasks without supervision. Keep-up-to date with industry and therapy area knowledge and adapt swiftly 

  • Good understanding of relevant aspects for the development and marketing of drugs, devices, data, and digital solutions, including:

  • Digital health, device and diagnostic understanding, Therapy Area know-how of Rare Endocrine & Rare Blood Disorders, Drug landscape know-how, Technology insight, Disease understanding, Market understanding, Clinical and Regulatory knowledge, ability to understand the interplay and potential upcoming combinations of Digital Health, Drug, Diagnostic, Data, and Devices.

  • Significant experience in professionally communicating scientific, technological, and commercial information to audiences at various organisational levels.

  • Excellent communication skill with strategic mindset and analytical approach.

The Commercial – GBS unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial – GBS. This includes Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Insights, and Commercial Operations.
