The position
As an Associate II, you will play a key role in managing accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling general accounting tasks such as posting incoming and outgoing payments, cash application, GL postings, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Performing manual postings of incoming and outgoing payments and uploading postings from Excel to SAP.
- Managing bank reconciliations, including daily identification, research, and follow-up of payments, and clearing and reconciling IHB accounts using SAP.
- Processing intercompany transactions, ensuring reconciliation of accounts, and handling service fee invoices with proper documentation.
- Conducting month-end activities such as inventory reporting, depreciation posting, currency revaluation, and reporting the trial balance to the corporate accounting team.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and preparing audit materials.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent).
- 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or finance function within a larger organisation.
- Experience working with SAP ERP systems (FI/CO).
- Knowledge of bank systems, including international bank transfers and reconciliations.
- Experience with General Accounting tasks, R2R, Intercompany transactions, and Reconciliations.
- Strong accounting knowledge and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
Nice to have:
- Experience with system interfaces to ERP systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills (oral and written).
