About the department
Finance GBS, established in 2007, is now a robust Organisation with over 600 full-time employees. We are responsible for supporting Sourcing Analytics, Procurement to Payment, Record to Report, Financial Planning & Analytics, Process and Digital Excellence, and Commercial Analytics for all Novo Nordisk affiliates/countries. The position
As a Cash Allocation & Open Items Specialist, you will:
You will join our Global Order-to-Cash area and help bridging the system and processes between IT and affiliate and work together within our Global O2C area. 
The role we are hiring for is for Cash Allocation & Open items Specialist and we need you to help us to manage the Cash allocation / Open items. We will provide you the necessary training to be able to fill the role. Looking into the future we see other exciting challenges where you can build your competences within the area of IT, business, finance, processes and systems e.g. optimizing automatic postings of incoming payments. 
The tasks will include:

  • Allocation of cash for individual associate. Follow-up on remittance advice and work with affiliate on posting
  • Do ME related activities for closing of account and ensuring we close ME on time. Do not miss out on the ME cash activities and ensure allocations are done and completed on time across all regions and countries. 
  • Control checks – ensure we are in compliance and proper controls are in place to drive the right outcomes 
  • Work with multiple different stakeholders on Recon activities and identifying / Closing disputes with customers to receive the cash.
  • Check email output quality and how we communicate with the customer / Affiliate.

 

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Prior experience in cash application, credit control, or collections.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., accounting software, SAP ECC).
  • Understanding of financial principles and credit management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Persistence, patience, and a customer-focused approach. Strong ethics and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Interest and understanding of IT set-up (we currently use SAP ECC but plan to upgrade to SAP S/4 Hana). Open to working across many cultures and time zones.
