About the department
Procurement GBS is the offshoring unit of Global Procurement and is part of Finance GBS Bangalore. Purchasing operations - HQ is a team within Procurement GBS that is overall responsible for indirect spend, delivering and supporting order management, invoice resolution activities, query management, tactical sourcing, P2P system support, and PO audit controls. The position
As an Associate II at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Be responsible for handling accounts payable tasks including invoice processing, review & controls, month-end close, discrepancy management, follow-ups, fallout clearing, reporting, and support to affiliates in Europe.
  • Fulfill targets set up by the Team Leader/Associate Manager and GBS Finance Management jointly.
  • Manage accounting processes for all activities related to Record to Report, local journal entries over month-end close, and consolidation to external reporting (e.g., Annual Report).
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting, including Sarbanes Oxley and the Minimum Controls framework.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors.

 

Qualifications
We realize that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes then you could be the person we are looking for:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification.
  • Good academic track records and grades.
  • 2-3 years of experience within an accounting/economy function from a larger organisation.
  • Experience working with SAP ERP system is an added advantage.
  • Candidates with experience working in AP in a global company.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written). Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office), with knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP S4HANA (preferable), and Coupa.
  • Social-team work: Being helpful, respectful, approachable, and team-oriented.
