About the department 

 

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich, is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated medical/scientific advisors, medical illustrators, project managers and publication managers working together with HQ, regions and affiliates across the world.

 

The Position

 

The primary role will be timely planning and proper execution of projects in line with the Clinical Medical Management (CMM) team based out in Zurich. Supporting project management activities which are initiated by the manager, based on identified and agreed needs to fulfil objectives on departmental and/or project level(s). An ideal candidate will be responsible for defining project scope, set achievable goals, expected deliverables, stakeholder mapping, estimated cost and timeline for medium complexity projects in medium scale, and secures project approval.

An ideal candidate will also be responsible for identifying and driving improvement projects across Medical Affairs and facilitating cross-functional collaboration opportunities across departments in GMA-GBS. The candidate will play a key role in stakeholder management and will be responsible for ensuring appropriate use of communication channels to proactively engage with vendors, GMA/GBS and global team based out in Zurich.

This position requires one to be highly self-motivated, proactive, organised and have a passion for data, insights and metrics. Dealing with vendors, stakeholder Management, Multichannel Engagement & congresses, Ownership, minimal handholding, challenging content and proposed costs and secures involvement of Corporate Sourcing when required is also an important aspect of this role.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in Bioscience, Lifesciences, Biotechnology or equivalent in relevant area (Mass communication/MBA).
  • 3+ years of experience in similar industry preferred in both local and global roles.
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills, Multichannel Engagement & Congress, Internal & External stakeholder Management.
  • Exposure with Ownership, Minimal handholding, planning, driving, implementing/executing the projects successfully.
  • Understands organizational set-up of respective countries and establishes structured contact with local stakeholders.
  • Periodic history of working as a team player.
  • Good data interpretation and representation skills- Proficiency in MS-office.
  • A self-driven and self-motivated and a strategic thinker who can work independently without any supervision.
