About the department
You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role, you will be part of our Corporate Procurement team, which is responsible for the global indirect spend in Novo Nordisk of app. 90 billion DKK and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. With 180 employees based in Denmark, 300 employees in India, and globally 500 people working in procurement, we are a strategic partner to the execution of the company’s strategy.

The position

As the Global Process Owner – T&E and Head of Expense Management CoE, you will be accountable for the end-to-end Employee Expense Management process globally. 

You will drive process strategy, governance, standardisation, automation, compliance, and transformation initiatives across affiliates, while delivering operations - ensuring an efficient, scalable, and future-ready expense ecosystem.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the global Expense Management Centre of Excellence, ensuring effective delivery of expense operations, auditing, reporting, query management, card administration, and controls
  • Owning the end-to-end Employee Expense Management process across affiliates, geographies, and business units – defining and maintaining global process standards, governance frameworks, and operating principles
  • Defining and executing the global Expense Management strategy, leading transformation programmes that improve employee experience, compliance, efficiency, and scalability
  • Acting as business owner for Concur Expense and related solutions, supplier relationship management, partnering with System Management teams on enhancements, configuration, and implementations
  • Establishing and driving global policies, procedures, controls, and compliance requirements – leading audit readiness activities and partnering with Internal Audit, GIA, Compliance, and external auditors
  • Defining global KPIs, monitoring process performance, and developing executive dashboards and performance reporting for leadership stakeholders
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Expense Management team – building capability in process excellence, controls, automation, and stakeholder management

 

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you bring deep expertise in expense management combined with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving global transformation.

 

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Finance/Business Administration, International Business, IT Administration, or alike from a top-tier university
  • Must-have: Extensive experience in Employee Expense Management (T&E); Source-to-Pay or Finance Operations experience is an added advantage
  • Must-have: Strong knowledge of Employee Expense management processes and poli-cies, SAP Concur, Expense Management controls and governance
  • Must-have: Experience leading global process transformation and standardisation initia-tives as GPO/Process Excellence, and extensive knowledge on industry best practices in this domain
  • At least 12+ years of proven track record leading operational delivery, excellence and au-tomation initiatives or a mix of these
  • Experience managing global stakeholders and cross-functional programmes.
