Your impact begins here

As Data Engineering Enablement Lead, you will help global engineering teams build data products that are scalable, secure, governed and compliant. You will accelerate automation and strengthen compliance across data engineering in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Your work will equip engineers to deliver faster and more reliably, so trusted data and AI capabilities reach the teams working towards lasting health for people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring

This is a technical and people leadership role for an experienced data engineering leader. Depending on your experience, you will bring:

  • A master's degree in data science, computer science, information management or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in data engineering or data integration and 10 years with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Informatica.
  • Proven expertise in cloud technologies, data modelling, data integration, metadata management, governance, automation, Terraform, AWS, Azure, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience designing scalable data engineering solutions, data-centric AI agent or automation frameworks, and end-to-end delivery pipelines from requirements and development through testing and operations.
  • strong understanding of governance, security, compliance and operational excellence, with familiarity with life sciences regulatory requirements and standards.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, collaborate across technical and business functions, and solve complex enterprise challenges.
  • A strong record of innovation, continuous improvement and delivery of scalable data applications in a large enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a self-motivated, learning-oriented mindset.

What you'll do

You will build scalable, secure and compliant data capabilities and equip engineers to deliver high-quality data products at pace. You will:

•  Design, build and deliver scalable data and AI agent frameworks that support end-to-end data application delivery across Snowflake, Azure and Informatica.

•  Lead end-to-end delivery of data pipeline applications, transforming existing processes into optimised, AI-enabled workflows with business stakeholders, data and AI engineers, architects and operations specialists.

•  Advance AI-enabled process redesign by creating and continuously evolving the data AI agent framework alongside other data and AI teams.

•  Give continuous feedback to data and AI platform teams, identifying reusable services and co-developing scalable components such as agent evaluation benchmarks, infrastructure components, data optimisation capabilities, governance controls and reuse metrics.

•  Oversee the development of data pipelines, platforms and tools, and allocate data engineering capabilities in line with strategic direction across business domains.

•  Mentor and develop team members, promote best practices and knowledge sharing, and foster an inclusive, data-driven culture where innovation can thrive.

•  Ensure that all data service deliveries, reuse processes and related activities comply with global regulatory requirements and industry standards, including GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.

Who you'll work with

You will join the Data & AI Foundation in Bangalore, which brings together Data Engineering & Platforms, Advanced Compute & Infrastructure, AI Engineering & Platforms, and Developer Experience, Compliance & Platforms to build, operate and scale trusted data and AI capabilities.

As a GBS partner, the team enables EIT GBS functions, communicates DAIF initiatives, and strengthens AI governance and platform ways of working. You will collaborate closely with global engineering teams, enterprise stakeholders, architects and operations specialists, working across a strong India–Denmark partnership to move from requirements to reliable delivery. We are cloud-native, working primarily with AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and Informatica.

What you can expect here

You will work in an international, cloud-native environment that values agility, diverse perspectives and continuous learning, grounded in a culture of feedback, honesty and collaboration. You will be trusted to lead, shape how data engineering is delivered at scale, and grow through hands-on work at the forefront of data and AI. You will be supported to perform at your best while helping colleagues around you do the same.
