Position: Associate Developer / Developer PowerApps


The Role

As an Associate Developer / Developer in Digital Excellence & Communications team, Finance GBS team you will help develop mobile/web applications with key finance operations insights with a close link to Procure to Pay and Record to Report process owners. Our aim in Corporate Finance is to be the best finance operation in the global pharma industry.

Main focus areas are operational applications which are used in finance value chain and business decisions. In this role, you will work as an integrated part of the Digitalisation team for Finance GBS. Your individual contribution to the team will be critical in driving the upscaling of digital solutions using PowerApps & Power automate within Finance in Novo Nordisk. Furthermore, you will ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support to the front office in Headquarters.


Key areas of responsibility:

Providing Business Solutions using PowerApps & Power automate with SharePoint & SQL/Dataverse

Enhance and optimize existing solutions with the aim of 100% automation and superior user satisfaction

Co-develop new innovative solutions for the finance community using latest technologies

Performing rigorous detailed analysis, resolution of issues and data quality check

Preparing test cases and executing the test cases

Ensuring the quality of the solutions provided to the Stakeholders and adhering to the project plan

Ensuring to keep the Stakeholders updated on the project

Assisting in user acceptance test, troubleshooting and end-user support

Documentation on technical specification, user guidelines and provide end-user trainings

Drive innovative initiatives across projects and share best practices


Personal Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills – effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer support
  • Quick learner and pro-active in developing new skills and sparring with the team
  • Sense of urgency, ability to manage and prioritize multiple work requirement to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and enthusiastic to go beyond the given instructions to create business value


Technical Qualifications (minimum requirements):

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PowerApps (Canvas and model driven) & Power Automate with SharePoint & SQL/Dataverse
  • Experience in creating new ‘Solutions’ in PowerApps
  • Experience in developing Power automate flows with JSON scripts and connecting with multiple MS office applications
  • Solid experience covering specification, design, development, and implementation of PowerApps applications
  • Good knowledge on Data security and section access models
  • Strong User experience skills and able to provide right advice to the business
  • Good experience with application management and support processes


Additional criteria:

  • PowerApps Certification
  • Experience in creating custom connectors/APIs
  • Experience with SAP BW and queries
  • Experience with finance operations data
  • Experience in agile development process
