About the department

The Clinical and Data Science (CDS) Global Business Service (GBS), Biostatistics and Programming department was established in August 2010. The team has a good blend of experience and fresh perspective and comprises experienced statisticians and programmers, who form the core of the team. The main purpose & objective is to ensure high quality in preparing and conducting statistical analysis in accordance with the project milestones and provide statistical support and expertise to all clinical development activities within Novo Nordisk.  


The position

As an Associate Data Facilitation Programmer, you will be responsible for reporting eg. Health Tracker, EDC, Titration and Audit Trail reports at required frequencies. Further, performing programming, review and updating of relevant documents pertaining to reports creation. Furthermore, timely execution of reports and communication with stakeholders. Performing problem solving and troubleshooting for procedures & processes that arise during the clinical trial.

You will be performing the mapping, testing and creating conversions & supporting the DBL activities across interfaces. Perform the daily loads across relevant systems, monitor & troubleshoot errors/incidents until resolution. Further supporting reporting & loading of data in DMW.

In collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues globally you will ensure timely, clear and proactive communication.

This position requires you to be highly self-motivated, innovative, having a global mind-set, creative trouble shooting experience, with flexible attitude, and a problem solver.



Below are the required skills.

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or comparable degree in computer science, Information Technology, clinical information management or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry and preferably 1 year within clinical data management systems
  • Knowledge and experience in Programming languages
  • Knowledge of computer systems, IT and clinical data process flow
  • Knowledge of clinical development and basic medical terminology
  • Experience in project management, cross-collaboration, communication and presentations skills.
  • Profound Knowledge of GxP and guidelines within drug development. Flexible and constructive attitude towards change
  • Team player capable of collaborating with multiple global stakeholders
