About the department:
You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role, you will be part of our Finance Operations team, which is responsible for process improvements across Finance Operations including R2R, O2C, P2P.With 180 employees based in Denmark, 300 employees in India, and globally 500 people working in finance operation, we are a strategic partner to the execution of the company’s strategy for the International Operations. The position
As an Associate Business Analyst – FP&A, you will play a vital role in driving financial planning, analysis and reporting that supports business decisions across Novo Nordisk. You will work closely with onshore FP&A teams and a wide range of stakeholders, providing high-quality insights and ensuring that processes run smoothly, accurately and on time.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel, Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI, and developing relevant IT systems and financial models
- Owning the Weekly and Monthly CCD reports, financial system reconciliations and preparation of monthly performance presentations for business meetings
- Providing analysis on the key drivers of deviations against budget and forecast, as well as ad hoc analysis based on business needs
- Anchoring planning processes, including the Budget and Rolling Estimate cycles
- Engaging continuously with stakeholders to understand and address business needs, and securing strong collaboration between GBS and the Onshore FP&A team
- Ensuring documentation is recorded and maintained in line with corporate finance archiving guidelines and ensuring compliance with Novo Nordisk systems and policies
- Sharing better practices, acting as a Finance GBS ambassador and supporting teams within your area of responsibility and across Finance GBS
- Taking full ownership of your own development plan (IDP) and contributing to a culture of continuous learning
Qualifications
We are looking for a curious, analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is motivated by delivering high-quality finance insights.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Master's degree in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute, with a good academic track record and strong grades
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience in the finance domain, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, which will be considered an advantage
- Proficiency with PC tools and extensive knowledge of MS Office, SAP ECC and SAP BW, along with working knowledge of VBA, Tableau and Alteryx
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to col-laborate effectively across geographies and functions, and a proactive mindset to share better practices and drive continuous improvement.
