Job Title - Associate Business Analyst – FP&A
Department – Finance & Procurement GBS
Location – Bangalore, India
Company: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS)
Are you energised by turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insights? Do you want to be the trusted analytical partner who helps shape decisions across regions and affiliates? If so, join our Finance & Procurement GBS team in Bangalore and help us drive standardisation, simplification and smarter reporting across International Operations.
The position
As an Associate Business Analyst – FP&A, you will take ownership of standard financial reports and dashboards that support decision-making across International Operations (IO), regions and affiliates. You will partner closely with stakeholders, drive process standardisation alongside your manager, and bring our Business Intelligence tools to life.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of standard financial reports for IO/regions/affiliates – delivering weekly and monthly sales and cost reports, providing analysis on the key drivers of deviations against budget and forecast, performing financial system reconciliations, and preparing monthly performance presentations for business meetings.
- Maintaining dashboards and reports in Excel and Power BI – developing and enhancing Business Intelligence tools and financial models that make data accessible and meaningful for our stakeholders.
- Continuous engagement with stakeholders – ensuring business needs are addressed, contributing to the affiliate planning processes (Anchor Budget and Rolling Estimate), and providing ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Driving standardisation alongside your manager – contributing to continuous improvement of processes, documenting work as per archiving guidelines, and championing better practices as a Finance & Procurement GBS ambassador.
- Securing strong collaboration between GBS and the IO FP&A team, while supporting colleagues within Finance & Procurement GBS and ensuring compliance with Novo Nordisk systems and policies.
The Department
In Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, we enable Novo Nordisk to fulfil our purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.
You will be joining the Finance & Procurement GBS Bangalore team, established in 2007. Our team supports Accounting, Finance & Procurement and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters, North America, International Operations and Product Supply. We pride ourselves on providing superior service to our stakeholders and adding value through process standardisation and efficiency – all in a collaborative, dynamic atmosphere that fosters continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for an analytical, pro-active professional who thrives in a fast-paced FP&A environment and enjoys working with data, systems and people. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Master's degree in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute, with a strong academic track record.
- A minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience, including FP&A and other finance disciplines, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles. Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency with PC tools and extensive knowledge of MS Office, SAP ECC and SAP BW, with working knowledge of Power BI, VBA and other AI tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide recommendations in spite of uncertainty and pressure, combined with the ability to handle and prioritise several tasks.
- A pro-active, self-propelled mindset, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to represent the FP&A agenda with stakeholders across Region/BA/Affiliate FP&A, IO and HQ.
