The position

 

As an Associate Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our finance operations globally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling general accounting tasks such as posting incoming and outgoing payments, cash application, GL postings, invoicing, reconciliations, and performing month-end close activities.
  • Providing high-quality support to affiliates in the Europe Markets Region.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for the existing team in Finance GBS Bangalore to enhance knowledge about accounting processes.
  • Fulfilling targets set by the Team Leader and GBS Finance Management.
  • Working with key accounting processes such as reporting, review, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis using SAP.
  • Supporting the front office at affiliates and the Manager in Accounting GBS to achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university, CA Inter.
  • 6-12 years of experience within an accounting/economy function in a larger organisation.
  • Experience working with SAP ERP systems, specifically FI/CO.
  • Experience with bank systems, including international bank transfers and reconciliations.
  • Experience with accounts receivables tasks, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough, detailed, and responsible approach to work.
  • Team player with a service-minded attitude.
  • Good IT skills.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with system interfaces to ERP.
  • Experience working with general ledger accounting in a global company.
  • Knowledge of accounting documentation, transaction links, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and audit material.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
