Your new role

As Associate Business Analyst, you will serve as Finance Partner for the Global Communication & Public Affairs team in Copenhagen, delivering actionable financial insights that enable smarter, faster decision-making. You will combine hands-on financial analysis with continuous improvement, helping us strengthen processes, automate reporting and embed a quality mindset across the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Quality and process delivery: Ensure all FP&A processes are delivered with high quality, keeping guidelines and supporting documentation up to date and aligned with global standards.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Serve as Finance Partner for the Global Communication & Public Affairs team, preparing and analysing weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting on cost and communication to help leadership track performance and optimise resource allocation.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Support Anchor Budgeting/Rolling Estimates (AB/RE) by preparing budget templates, BRM documents, presentations, budget uploads and brand P&L processes – ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process improvement and automation: Introduce and implement budgeting best practices and report automation tools, streamlining processes and improving reporting accuracy.
  • Reporting and transparency: Develop corporate affairs financial reports and cost allocation analyses that strengthen transparency for senior stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Accounting, Accounts Payable and Master Data teams to resolve journal entries, manage cost centre changes and approve invoices, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • Knowledge sharing and capability building: Train colleagues, drive a quality mindset and actively contribute to monthly stakeholder meetings and Key Learnings sessions within the FP&A team, translating insights into action plans.

In Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, we enable Novo Nordisk to fulfil our purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.

You will join a collaborative FP&A team that partners closely with Finance leaders and global stakeholders to drive Global Finance Initiatives forward. We work with curiosity, accountability and a strong improvement mindset – bringing structure, insight and momentum to the financial decisions that shape Novo Nordisk's future.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a proactive finance professional who combines analytical rigour with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset. To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Master's degree in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institution, with a strong academic track record.
  • Minimum 4–8 years of relevant work experience, including business controlling and other finance disciplines, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Knowledge of Novo Nordisk and/or the pharmaceutical industry, combined with project management experience.
  • Proficiency with PC tools and extensive knowledge of MS Office, SAP ECC and SAP BW.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide clear recommendations despite uncertainty and pressure, paired with the agility to handle and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluency in written and spoken English, and a genuine team-player mindset.
