About the department

Finance GBS in the Global Business Services (GBS) Bangalore was established in 2007 and is responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics for various parts of the Novo Nordisk organization worldwide. You will be part of the Sourcing & Analytics team, which is part of the GF Source-to-Contract department in GBS Bangalore. This team is responsible for delivering and supporting global sourcing and category managers with market research & analyses, bid evaluations, sourcing project management, and more. Besides being part of the GBS Bangalore Sourcing & Analytics team, you will also be part of the Corporate Procurement team based at our headquarters in Denmark. Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining & driving the global procurement strategy.

 

The position

As an Associate Analyst - Sourcing at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Work closely with Category Managers at Corporate Procurement.
  • Support R&D & Laboratory project managers extensively as a sourcing project track lead and/or author.
  • Conduct supply market research, tender analysis, and spend analysis. Manage contracts and support sourcing activities, including market screenings, executing RFI’s and RFP’s.
  • Take full ownership of documentation, including managing bid sheets, bid evaluations, and savings calculation/registration.
  • Optimise sourcing processes and manage supplier relationships. Monitor market dynamics impacting materials/services availability and pricing.
  • Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs and develop buyer/market profiles.

 

Qualifications

We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree with more than 4 years of experience in sourcing and procurement data analytics.
  • Proficiency with procurement/ERP systems such as Coupa and SAP.
  • Strong skills in procurement data mining and gleaning insights from large data sets.
  • Ability to suggest opportunities to optimise spend and/or generate savings.
  • Working experience in VBA, database management tools, and data visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI.
  • Experience in indirect and direct operations sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and contract administration skills.
