About the Department 

Bangalore R&D since its inception, has transitioned from a small start-up to one of the largest units in Global Business Services, Bangalore (GBS) and a key contributor to Novo Nordisk clinical development portfolio. In Bangalore R&D, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. Clinical Data Science Bangalore department in existence since many decades .The team has a good blend of experience and fresh perspective and comprises experienced programmers, who form the core of the team. The main purpose & objective is to ensure high quality in preparing and conducting statistical analysis in accordance with the project milestones and provide programming support and expertise to all clinical development activities within Novo Nordisk.

 

The Position

As a Associate Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and setting directions for Clinical Data Scientists according to Novo Nordisk Way including continuous improvement of business processes, striving for simplicity, and securing cross organizational collaboration and the delivery of business results. The responsibilities further include development of Clinical Data Scientists and provide inputs to organizational review. It’s a core people management role and would require someone who is good with team handling, mentoring and coaching further aiming to play crucial role in team expansion.

  • Responsible for planning, executing and leading Clinical Data Scientists deliverable with respect to Clinical Trials data
  • Contribute to the planning the global resources for the teams working on the project in Denmark as well as in India.
  • Conduct regular meetings in the team to share information and opinions, and to promote new business processes and/or management decisions.
  • Responsible for timely identification of resource needs and gaps within team, the consequences, and their possible solutions to ensure optimal and flexible use of global resources.
  • Ensuring timely deliverables at an appropriate level of quality in accordance with project milestones and the overall Novo Nordisk prioritisation

 

 

Qualification

  • More than 9 years of experience in related field along with Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in engineering, statistics or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 4-5 years in a team/line/people management role is a must.
  • Extensive experience with communication and presentations.
  • Extensive experience within drug-development.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical programming.
  • Experience with the process of drug applications with the various regulatory agencies 
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Ability to cross collaborate and work with the teams and stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures in a Hybrid setup.
