About the department

You will be organizationally placed in HR DD&IT in GBS (Global Business Services), and you will report to the local Head of Develop, Engage and System. The internal IT systems in Novo Nordisk support our 55,000 colleagues globally and our 5,000 managers. Our goal is to create intuitive user experience and business value for our colleagues using these systems. We are anchored in DD&IT Staffs in the global Digital, Data & IT organization.

 

The position

As an Advanced System Manager II at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:
 

  • Manage the maintenance and development of IT systems and/or services as subject matter expert (SME) with setting up directions and deliver results in your own role.
  • Maintain documents such as user requirement specifications (URS), functional design specifications (FDS), technical design specifications (TDS), and other system documentations.
  • Ensure governance and compliance with relevant regulations and standards in IT operations and projects while conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and address any gaps or non-compliance issues.
  • Manage system budgets and vendors with participating in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in governance and compliance practices.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand and address compliance requirements, supported business processes, and needs.
     

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Should have 7-10 years of experience in IT system management, including maintenance and development of IT systems and/or services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP SuccessFactors, general infrastructure, platforms, and data.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, change and release management, and system administration.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
