About the department
Global IT India is a team of 400+ highly skilled IT professionals located in Global Business Services (GBS) Bangalore. The strategic objectives of Global IT India are to support growth in a cost-effective manner and provide flexible working models and to enhance focus on operational excellence. Global IT India provides various IT services across Novo Nordisk, the services include, system management, project management, infrastructure, management, compliance management, IT security management, process management and vendor management, IT security management, process management and vendor management.The Global Security Operation as a unit is part of the Global IT unit in Novo Nordisk serving more than 40,000 employees worldwide.
 
IT Security has the responsibility of securing Novo Nordisk from IT Threats. GIS manages a portfolio of Services, Systems and Infrastructure across various geographies of Novo Nordisk.IT Security and related services is growing rapidly reflecting a high activity level, and we are therefore looking for a skilled Service Manager/Advanced Service Manager in Global IT India who has the drive to deliver superior IT Security Service delivery globally. Global IT India is an integral part of Global IT unit in our headquarters in Denmark responsible for all major IT Projects, Operations management and Systems in Novo Nordisk. Global IT India consists of more than 500 talented IT colleagues and is growing fast.

 

The position
This position holder is responsible for service management for a portfolio of IT Security Services such as ensuring Services are well in support & KPIs are maintained, service lifecycle and roadmap is created and followed, Vendor Management and Budget Management. You need to manage large and medium implementation project related to the service as well as ensure that the Security Service is in compliance with relevant internal and external requirements. You must  bridge the gap between the end users’ needs and the vendor supplying the service to Novo Nordisk ensuring that the service is provided at competitive terms.You will be proactively engage  in close dialogue with users and stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk  global to understand the needs and usage patterns in order to recommend changes to IT security services and/or investments in latest technologies and also day to day coordination with IT Security architects, Global Security Operations and Global Infrastructure Operations. We expect you to present security solutions and be a part of the continuous transformation of the global IT security in Novo Nordisk.

On the other hand, relating to process, we expect you to stand up to the pressure that comes with being responsible for a global IT Security. You need to act as a back-up for the fellow Service Managers when required. You must identify opportunities for improvement. And also demonstrate pro-activeness and ownership. At last, we expect you to ability to participate and run security campaigns as we as ability to serve as an IT Security consultant for a specific region.

 

Qualifications
Below qualifications are required.

  • Minimum 5 year’s working experience in IT Service Management/ IT System Management in IT Security or IT Operations or equivalent.
  • Minimum 9 years of IT experience
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes
  • Basic knowledge on Security Tools and technologies
  • Good Knowledge on Security Risk Assessments
  • Keen to learn and excel in Security landscape
  • Bachelor or similar graduate degree field in Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and comfortable working with different cultures and time-zones.
  • Able to navigate in a global organization, keen on building out strong relationships and professional network
  • Good to have ITIL / CCSA / CCNA Certifications
