As an Advanced Business Analyst within our Sales Force Effectiveness team, you'll be the trusted advisor driving commercial effectiveness initiatives that maximize field force impact. You'll translate complex business challenges into strategic solutions, working at the intersection of data analytics, commercial strategy, and operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a commercial effectiveness advisor, driving Sales Force Effectiveness initiatives including segmentation, territory design, call planning, target setting, and incentive compensation operations to maximize field force coverage and productivity
- Partnering with field force and commercial stakeholders to optimize territory and coverage models by analysing performance trends, HCP/account potential, workload balance, and sales patterns to ensure equitable resource deployment
- Designing and refining segmentation and targeting frameworks by integrating multiple data sources to prioritize high-value accounts and geographies, enabling more effective customer engagement
- Advising on sales target setting and performance management by analysing market dynamics and behavioural drivers, translating insights into data-driven incentive levers that motivate desired field behaviours
- Conducting pre- and post-incentive performance analyses to assess plan effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend fact-based improvements
- Developing and maintaining IC and field-force dashboards that provide actionable, business-relevant insights
- Leading end-to-end project delivery through strong stakeholder collaboration and disciplined execution, ensuring measurable impact and continuous process improvement
Your new department
Commercial Insight & Analytics, GBS Bangalore, is responsible for data management, analytics and insight generation for the global markets. The unit supports global stakeholders in taking commercial execution decisions through data-driven insights. The department encompasses various hubs such as Integrated Insights & Analytics, Frontline Excellence, Strategic Pricing & Market Access and Contract Operations & Insights.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced analyst who combines commercial expertise with technical excellence and a consulting mindset. You'll bring with you:
- Bachelor's/Master's/Engineering degree from a recognized institute
- 7-10 years of pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting experience, with demonstrated experience delivering field-force/commercial effectiveness projects
- Strong Sales Force Effectiveness expertise, including knowledge of segmentation, territory design, incentive compensation, and target setting
- Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into cohesive recommendations
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Python, Power BI, and MSSQL, with the ability to design custom analytical tools and automation solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and act as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership
- Strong market, financial, and commercial analytics expertise; experience in end-to-end IC operations is a plus
