About the department
Finance Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore was established in 2007 and is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for headquarters in Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. Commercial Analytics is part of Finance GBS and was founded in June 2013 with the idea of establishing a team consisting of dedicated analytics professionals to provide the best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global Organisation. The main purpose of our existence is to consistently provide superior service to our stakeholders and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.
The Position
As an Advanced Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data. Develop and implement complex reporting in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI that relates to commercial activities.
- Independently drive strategic projects, including market sizing projects. Provide analytical and consulting services in designing, delivering, and executing projects related to business intelligence.
- Collaborate and execute cross-functional projects. Generate insights from data and recommend actionable solutions. Develop custom analysis tools and dashboards in various applications such as Advanced Excel, VBA, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Conduct quality checks of various reports and analyses, ensuring documentation is recorded and maintained. Prepare management presentations and independently make recommendations based on data, market, and business insights.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes. Actively participate in meetings with stakeholders, sharing minutes and implementing action plans.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following topics:

Master’s Degree (preferably within quantitative/management discipline) from a well-recognized institute
- Under-graduate degree preferably in Pharma (B. Pharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc) and Engineering (B. Tech)
- Good academic track record
- 7+ years of experience in Pharma industry.
- Consulting experience.
- Working experience in Asia/Europe markets.
- Hands-on experience with commercial effectiveness datasets and metrics.
- Knowledge of SAP (Business Warehouse or Business Objects) and Power BI.
- Experience in analyzing market data, including market composition and competitor performance.
- Experience with forecasting, market research, and consulting projects.
