The position

The Changing Diabetes in Children (CDiC) programme is running in 33 countries, reaching more than 45,000 children and adolescents living with Type 1 Diabetes and is looking at further expansion in the coming years. The role involves establishing a scalable finance support model, controlling the CDiC project budget, and overseeing audit tasks. With the program expanding to 30 more countries, it's crucial to establish strong finance governance and solid financial setups in new countries.

As a Finance Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial management of the CDiC program. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Establishing a scalable finance support model to ensure strong finance governance across the program’s expansion into new countries.
  • Controlling and managing the overall project budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient execution in line with the program’s strategy.
  • Taking an active role in following up on local audits and challenging audit findings, while ensuring business ethics is a cross-cutting theme throughout the financial management of the program.
  • Being responsible for optimizing budget allocation, ensuring ethical financial practices, and managing the Monthly Management Report.
  • Additionally, supporting team activities, handling ad hoc requests, and assisting in document preparation for management meetings are part of the role.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who preferably holds a master’s degree in business administration or economics with excellent results. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as audit or compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to keep an eye on the overall purpose.
  • Clear and precise communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience working with low and middle-income countries is an advantage.
  • A strong ethical compass and preferably experience in auditing or working with business ethics in large corporations or NGOs.

You will join our Global Finance GBS Bangalore team, which has been supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters, North America, International Operations (IO), Product Supply & GBS Bangalore since 2007.
