The Position 

As an Advanced Business Analyst II – DevOps Engineer, you will be part of our Smart Assay Lab – Lake Reporting team. Here you are responsible for developing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and supporting the system. You will work within a scrum team, which will require a good level of collaborative skills and cooperation. You will be entrusted with the below responsibilities:

  • Provide an infrastructural environment on Amazon Web Services (AWS) / cloud.
  • Build the application including integration and automation – create and provide automated deployment.
  • Maintain the infrastructure and solution, which include troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and resolve issues.
  • Work on designing solutions to match the scientific research needs of the primary stakeholders.
     

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree with a large focus on IT systems engineering and/or Scientific Computing or similar with 5+ years of experience and proficiency within IT infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
  • Should have strong knowledge of Vue.js for web development.
  • Should have proficiency in Python and TypeScript for writing business logic.
  • Should have knowledge of Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and CloudFormation for managing and deploying cloud infrastructure in AWS.
  • Should have understanding of Agile development principles, specifically SAFe.
  • Should have familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management.
  • Should have excellent communication skills and global stakeholder engagement experience.

 

 

About the department

Digital Data & IT GBS (Global Business Service) was established in February 2010 as an integral part of Digital Data & IT in HQ (Head Quarter). From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 800+ employees till date. The main role of Digital Data (DD) & IT Global Business Services (GBS) is to 'manage' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management, etc.

In Research & Early Development, Digital Data (DD)&IT GBS (Global Business Service) , we partner globally with R&ED LoB to achieve scientific aspiration. We provide timely, best in class, regulated and non-regulated IT solutions, infrastructure, and system management across the R&ED value chain. We manage more than 20+ IT systems and the department consists of Agile DevOps members, System Managers, Validation SMEs, cloud engineers and Business Analysts.
