Advanced Business Analyst I- SAP SD & AI (SAP Joule)
Bangalore, Karnataka, IN
Department: SAP Logistics Solutions
Location: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore
Your impact begins here
As Advanced Business Analyst in SAP Sales and Distribution, you will keep the SAP systems behind Novo’s manufacturing and supply chain operations reliable and make them work better. You will resolve issues at the root, shape changes in SAP S/4HANA and connect SAP SD with the processes around it across several countries. Your work helps planning, sales and supply teams move faster, so the supply chain that delivers Novo’s treatments runs with fewer disruptions.
What you’ll bring
You combine deep SAP logistics knowledge with the curiosity to understand how the business really works. You bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, a similar qualification or relevant business experience.
- At least 8 years of IT experience covering the specification, design, development, validation, implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
- At least 6 years of experience in SAP logistics and SAP SD, with a strong understanding of sales and distribution business processes.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA SD experience, including familiarity with Fiori applications and simplified data models.
- Integration knowledge across SAP SD, MM, FI and WM/EWM, plus experience supporting interfaces and data flows.
- Experience with SAP OpenText integrations, EDI and external system interfaces.
- Experience in system integration, new functionality and rollout support in an international project or matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical, design and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to turn business needs into clear functional documentation.
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP Joule Studio.
- Fluent spoken and written English, and the ability to work across countries and time zones.
You are a collaborative team player who can also work independently, prioritise deliverables and meet deadlines without compromising quality. You communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders, share what you know and keep the focus on business value.
Useful, but not essential:
- Experience working in an Agile framework and exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), APIs and emerging SAP integration technologies.
- Familiarity with SAP enhancements such as user exits and BAdIs, and basic debugging.
What you’ll do
You will support, maintain and improve SAP SD across multiple countries, from daily incidents to new functionality and rollouts.
- Analyse and resolve SAP SD incidents and problems, find root causes and improve system reliability and process performance.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs and deliver SAP SD changes through analysis, design, testing, validation, implementation and ongoing support.
- Support SAP S/4HANA SD processes, including relevant Fiori applications, and contribute to new functionality and rollout activities.
- Manage integration points between SAP SD and SAP MM, FI and WM/EWM, as well as SAP OpenText, EDI and external interfaces, so data flows reliably between connected systems.
- Work with planning and sales teams, manufacturing sites and the supply chain organisation to find opportunities to improve processes and systems.
- Guide vendor application support teams, share knowledge and mentor colleagues in SAP SD and related integration topics.
- Own your deliverables, coordinate dependencies across international teams and keep stakeholders informed of progress, issues and next steps.
Who you’ll work with
You will be based in Bangalore, India, and join EIT EP SAPEco Supply Chain, part of Enterprise IT & Quality. The team supports the operation, maintenance and development of global IT systems used across Novo’s manufacturing and supply chain operations. Its SAP logistics systems enable critical business processes and connect teams across the organisation.
You will work within a Delivery team that owns its priorities and decisions. Your closest partners are business users, IT colleagues and vendor application support teams. You will also work with planning and sales teams, manufacturing sites and supply chain colleagues in several countries. Clear communication and quick escalation when things stall are what keep the work moving across time zones.
What you can expect here
You will work in an international environment where your SAP expertise is valued and your voice counts in decisions that affect how Novo’s global supply chain runs. You will take ownership of your deliverables, share knowledge with colleagues and mentor others, and keep building your skills through work across countries, systems and business functions.
We support you to perform at your best and expect high standards in return, with honest feedback and clear priorities.
