About the department
The GSC&BD GBS unit is in Bengaluru, India, with our headquarters in Denmark. We are focused on consolidating supply chain activities and driving performance improvement. As part of the Global Operational Planning team, our role involves continuous improvement of our operational planning processes and systems to ensure a balanced supply plan on a global scale. The position
As our new Adv Supply Chain Process Professional II, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Novo Nordisk products reach patients seamlessly from first launch to eventual discontinuation. You will be the connector between commercial ambition and operational reality, driving alignment across regions, functions and systems.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Launch Coordination: Lead end-to-end coordination for new product launches, monitor forecasts, production capacity and post-launch delivery activities, main-tain and update the Launch Tool to support launch speed KPIs, and track progress while escalating risks to ensure on-time execution.
  • Discontinuation of Products: Serve as the point of contact for product discon-tinuation requests, lead discontinuation coordination groups, create and coordi-nate global change request (CR) cases, ensure SKU deactivation in line with agreed execution dates, and minimise excess production and shortages in coordi-nation with Brand Partners, Planning and S&OE.
  • Project Management: Manage launch and discontinuation projects across the organisation, acting as the primary interface between Regulatory Affairs, Com-mercial, SoOP, Master Data, SCP, Affiliates and other SVP areas, and maintain project documentation, timelines and action logs.
  • Planning & Execution: Coordinate with stakeholders to align planning and exe-cution of launch and discontinuation batches, ensuring resources and schedules are synchronised and milestones are met.
  • Feasibility Assessment & Risk Management: Consolidate inputs and conduct feasibility checks with planners, master data and labelling teams, and escalate in-feasibilities, capacity constraints and risks to drive rapid resolution.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce delays, optimise resource utilisation and accelerate decision-making across the launch and discontinuation process.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal guiding rules, and report launch and discontinuation KPI status in management meetings.


Qualifications:
We are looking for a proactive supply chain professional who enjoys navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and turning coordination into concrete results. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in product life cycle management — including launch coordination, discontinuation, project management, or supply chain/operations — preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams across Commercial, Regulatory, Labelling, Master Da-ta, SoOP, Supply Chain Planning, Affiliates and Regions.
  • A structured, solution-oriented mindset with a proven ability to identify risks, drive resolution and continuously improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
