Tech Lead

Category:  Project Management & Agile
Location:

Ballerup, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Are you motivated by turning technical complexity into clarity and helping secure stable, business-critical planning solutions? Do you want to play a key role in strengthening the digital foundation behind global supply chain planning in Novo Nordisk? If so, you may be our new Tech Lead in the Planning Solutions team.

Your new role

As our new Tech Lead, you will play a key role in driving the stability, transparency, and continuous improvement of OMP, our business-critical planning platform supporting Supply Planning. You will be responsible for maintaining the technical and operational overview of OMP and its key dependencies, ensuring that incidents, job failures, and recurring issues are handled with speed, structure, and the right level of coordination. You will act as a central point of contact of the Planning Solutions team, helping to identify the right stakeholders, clarify dependencies and constraints, and drive issues through to resolution.

You will help ensure that monitoring, trend follow-up, and proactive risk identification are in place to strengthen system stability over time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex IT environments, takes ownership, and knows how to create clarity and momentum when it matters most.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the technical and operational overview of OMP
  • Building and maintaining insight into critical jobs, dependencies, interfaces, and operational windows
  • Creating clarity in complex technical and operational situations and translating challenges into clear actions
  • Coordinating response when major jobs fail, including impact assessment, stakeholder involvement, and rescheduling considerations
  • Facilitating resolution across teams and ensuring the right people are involved at the right time
  • Ensuring monitoring is in place and that alerts, trends, and recurring issues are followed up
  • Proactively identifying risks and driving preventive actions to help the organisation stay ahead of issues
  • Driving improvements in stability, transparency, and operational maturity across the OMP landscape
  • Developing a strong understanding of the supply planning context and connecting technical issues to business impact

Your new department

You will join the Planning Solutions team who supports digital solutions that enable end-to-end supply chain planning. We work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure stable, scalable, and efficient planning capabilities that support Novo Nordisk’s global operations.

As part of our digital transformation, we continuously challenge how we work and how technology can better support the business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a strong internal community, share knowledge, and help shape how we work with technical stability and operational excellence in planning solutions.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a person who has a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership. Someone who can stay calm, structured, and solution-oriented when incidents or urgent issues arise. Also, to succeed in this role, you have:

  • A master’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, supply chain systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working with complex, business-critical IT applications, enterprise platforms, or integrated system landscapes
  • A strong ability to create overview and structure in situations with many dependencies and stakeholders
  • Solid technical understanding and the ability to quickly grasp system flows, interfaces, and operational constraints
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • An interest in learning the supply planning domain and understanding how OMP supports the business

While experience within supply planning is an advantage, it is not a prerequisite. What matters most is your ability to understand complex technical setups and your motivation to learn how OMP supports business-critical processes.

It is also considered an advantage if you have experience with supply planning systems, enterprise planning platforms (i.e.: OMP), or SAP, experience in IT processes (e.g.: environments landscape, validation and deployment), experience driving technical improvements in complex application landscapes, and/or experience working with ITIL 4 framework, UML diagrams, PowerBI or other visualization tools.
