Are you passionate about auditing as a craft – energised by deep dives, complex analyses and getting to the root of what really matters? Do you combine sharp audit execution with the maturity to influence senior stakeholders and the pragmatism to know when something is truly critical? If so, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today for a life-changing career.
Your new role
As our new Senior Lead Auditor, you will be a hands-on audit expert who thrives on complex, high-risk audits while contributing to how we evolve our audit practices. You will spend the majority of your time on audit execution and deep-dive work, complemented by stakeholder engagement, capability building and selective strategic input.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
-
Planning, preparing, conducting and reporting audits in line with the audit programme, including complex and high-risk audits performed independently or in collaboration
-
Ensuring high-quality findings, clear rating alignment and strong audit conclusions, applying analytical and critical thinking to uncover root causes and risks
-
Translating audit insights into clear risk perspectives, differentiating critical from non-critical findings and communicating compliance trends and emerging risks
-
Engaging stakeholders across functions and seniority levels with fact-based, structured and credible communication – handling disagreement constructively to drive alignment
-
Contributing to the development and optimisation of audit processes, tools and methodology, and acting as a go-to expert within specific domains
-
Supporting knowledge sharing and the development of peers and junior auditors, acting as a role model for audit quality and behaviours
-
Investigating compliance hotline cases and supporting inspection readiness activities when needed
You will conduct audits with a high degree of autonomy, challenge stakeholders when needed using data and audit insight, and align with your manager on major escalations.
Your new department
In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.
You will join a team of experienced auditors with a shared commitment to audit excellence and pragmatic risk thinking. We work closely with internal stakeholders across the value chain – including senior leaders and global business areas. Together, we safeguard quality and compliance while continuously evolving how we audit.
Your skills & qualifications
You are an experienced auditor with genuine passion for the craft – someone who enjoys deep analysis, knows when to prioritise and deprioritise, and can read a room with situational awareness and empathy. To succeed in this role, you bring:
-
A relevant master's degree or PhD within science, pharmacy, biology or similar
-
3+ years of experience as Head of Quality or Head of QC in the pharmaceutical industry, with significant experience in GMP audits and quality management systems, or equivalent strong experience within auditing, quality or compliance
-
Proven ability to conduct complex audits, handle ambiguity, and demonstrate thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, QMS and the pharmaceutical value chain
-
Excellent stakeholder management, change management and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication and handle disagreement constructively
-
Fluency in English (written and spoken) and openness to international travel
Solid IT skills, an understanding of digitalisation processes and a proactive, flexible approach to change will be considered a positive addition. If you have a formal leadership background, you will still need to be hands-on and detail-oriented in this role.
