Product Owner (Maternity Cover)

This is the opportunity that we are looking for an experienced and driven Product Owner for Server Platforms to take temporary end-to-end responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s global Windows and Linux server platforms across CORP and PSnet.

Your new position

As Product Owner, you will set the direction and priorities for the Server Platforms area and lead a global organisation of approximately 50 colleagues and partners located across the Philippines, India, Poland, Denmark and the United States and you will be accountable for the direction, priorities and performance of the Windows and Linux server platforms across CORP and PSnet.

This is a role for someone who can combine strategic product ownership with operational leadership. You will need to understand the needs of the business and application teams, translate these into a clear platform roadmap, and ensure that the organisation delivers secure, resilient and efficient server services at global scale.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure stable, secure, compliant and cost-effective operation of business-critical server infrastructure.
  • Balance operational stability, lifecycle management, technical debt, security requirements and new business demand.
  • Drive server lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, standardisation and decommissioning, drive simplification, automation and standardisation to improve reliability, security and operational efficiency.
  • Establish clear priorities and outcomes for the teams and ensure alignment between engineering, operations and business needs, manage dependencies and priorities across the broader infrastructure and technology landscape.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, documentation and controls are maintained in accordance with Novo Nordisk requirements and the needs of regulated environments.
  • Monitor platform performance, risks, capacity, service quality and key operational metrics and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Manage and communicate risks, issues and major decisions to relevant stakeholders and leadership, provide clear communication and transparency on platform health, roadmap, priorities and delivery.

Your new department

We are the Server Platform sub-department within Novo Nordisk Infrastructure Platforms department. We operate and manage all enterprise servers across Novo Nordisk, covering both Windows and Linux environments, and spanning public and private cloud domains. As a full operating team, we ensure fast, reliable, and compliant server operations through standardized practices and continuous improvement. Our team operates globally from locations including the Philippines, India, Poland (Polan), Czech Republic, Denmark, and the United States. Our primary objective is to streamline server operations across all platforms and domains, enabling efficient execution while maintaining Novo Nordisk compliance requirements.

 

Your skills&qualifications

We expect that you bring several of the following:

  • Solid experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Service Owner or senior infrastructure leader in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and server platforms, preferably including both Windows Server and Linux.
  • Experience managing or providing direction to large, globally distributed teams.
  • Experience working with business-critical infrastructure where availability, security and compliance are essential.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability management, automation and operational processes.
  • Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Ability to translate technical challenges and risks into clear business priorities and decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
  • Experience from a regulated environment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure practices, including automation, Infrastructure as Code, observability and hybrid/cloud infrastructure, is an advantage.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000.00 to 1,245,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.​

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.​
