Your new role
As a Product Architect, you will be an integral member of the Global (AVEVA/OSISoft) PI team. Global PI is a global platform designed for easier connectivity and harmonisation of data from various data sources and local PI systems across Novo Nordisk production facilities. The role will play a critical role in the development, implementation, compliance, and daily operations of Global PI, acting as a architectural advisor for all stakeholders globally.
Your responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the end-to-end PI system architecture roadmap, including core components, interfaces, edge, visualization, and performance tuning
- Lead greenfield deployments and migrations, enforcing standard tag naming, asset framework templates, metadata governance, data quality, and change control across multi-site rollouts
- Design and secure plant-to-enterprise connectivity, collaborating with infrastructure and security teams on segmentation, access control, patching, vulnerability management, and audits
- Configure data ingestion and integration, including industrial interfaces, edge buffering and failover, and data pipelines to enterprise data platforms, and analytics tools
- Coach and support site OT engineers, coordinating vendors, and partnering with data teams and QA
Your new department
You will be part of Manufacturing AI Solutions department within Enterprise AI area. We are responsible for continuously developing, scaling, and maintaining global manufacturing data and AI solutions. Our solutions are designed to efficiently harmonize data from production lines and IT/OT systems used in manufacturing processes and provide key insights for our colleagues in Novo Nordisk CMC & Product Supply to make data-driven decisions, continuously digitalize, and improve manufacturing processes. The team comprises individuals with a broad range of skills and diverse backgrounds, including product owners, architects, data engineers, and business analysts representing multiple nationalities.We are currently located in Ballerup and part of Enterprise IT – a global community of colleagues, driving digital, data, and IT. Enterprise IT partners with the business to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain – from idea to patient. We accelerate digital value creation through standardized, efficient, and secure technology platforms – the foundation for everything digital in Novo Nordisk.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally.
On a professional level, you have:
- 8+ years implementing industrial data historians, with 5+ years specific to AVEVA/OSIsoft PI
- MSc in Engineering or similar education
- Hands-on with PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, Vision, Interfaces/Connectors, PI Web API, PI Integrator
- Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC DA/UA, Modbus, MQTT), PLCs/DCS/SCADA integration
- Solid grasp of networking and security (DMZ, firewalls, TLS/certificates, domains, service accounts)
- AVEVA/OSIsoft certification (PI System Infrastructure, AF, Interfaces) preferred
