Are you passionate about driving AI/ML within the commercial domain for a global pharmaceutical company? If you’re a hands‑on lead who turns complex commercial questions into production AI, this is your next move.

Your New Role

You will lead and develop a team of analytics and data sciences specialists while owning and delivering high-impact analytical products for our commercial organisation. The role has a primary focus on dynamic segmentation, requiring strong statistical expertise and hands-on experience with ML model development, validation, and deployment at scale. A strong secondary focus will be on marketing mix modelling, ensuring insights are translated into tangible commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of dynamic segmentation that updates in near real time and activates in our data platform (Snowflake)
  • Lead enterprise and commercial development frameworks by designing best practices for ML/AI
  • Being able to communicate insights, robustness and validity of the deployed models for commercial stakeholders
  • Build, validate and operationalise MMM and price/promo analytics to guide budget and channel decisions
  • Translate business problems into robust analytical designs (data strategy, causal inference, ML) and drive solutions from PoC MVP production
  • Partner with frontline sales, marketing and leadership to turn model outputs into decisions and measurable value
  • Ensure reproducibility, fairness and safe operations under GDPR; set guardrails for experimentation and incrementality
  • Build reliable model services/APIs with CI/CD, monitoring; collaborate with data engineering on pipelines and observability
  • Coach and upskill peers; lead code reviews, design sessions, and promote reuse of shared components

Your New Department

You will join Enterprise AI, a dynamic department dedicated to accelerating AI and agentic AI implementation across the entire value chain.

  • Our mission is to collaborate closely with the business and colleagues across Enterprise IT to deliver truly transformative AI solutions.
  • Our department of approximately 350 employees drives innovation and measurable impact across Novo Nordisk’s global operations.

  • 7+ years in applied data science; 3+ years in commercial/marketing analytics with demonstrable impact

  • Experience with LLM/GenAI

The top candidate also has these skills and qualifications

  • Strong MLOps experience
  • Hands‑on MMM or marketing effectiveness (incl. price/promo) with clear validation of incrementality
  • Strong Python stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn) and solid software engineering practices
  • Production ML delivery: model APIs/services, CI/CD, monitoring, model registry
  • Cloud experience within Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, while having strong understanding of the data engineering process.
  • Strong stakeholder leadership, including director/VP‑level engagement
  • Understanding of fairness/bias, model risk, GDPR/PII handling
