Head of ProdOps (Production Global Service Desk)

The position
ProdOps is a recently established cross-functional team that is responsible for second- and third-level support for critical production IT/OT solutions.
In your capacity as Head of ProdOps, you are responsible for the following key deliveries:
- Develop and implement the strategy for the global ProdOps Service Desk and IT Support services including management of key stakeholders, line managers and employees, prioritization of initiatives, allocation of resources and management of budgets.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and feedback with senior leadership in Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT) and global manufacturing sites
- Define and drive KPIs and management reporting
- Engage in strategic vendor discussions with 3rd party vendors
- Evolve service offering of ProdOps to mirror PS needs in collaboration with your team and customers
- Have direct reporting lines with strategic delivery roles, as well as informally lead a global team of IT/OT supporters anchored across three regions.
The team delivers a 24/7 support service through three global hubs located in Denmark, China and Brazil. Our customers – IT supporters located at our global production sites – rely on the ProdOps team’s expertise and stakeholder network within DD&IT and external partners to efficiently resolve incidents and investigate problems, particularly those that impact production processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can fulfil most of the following requirements for this position.
- MSc, MBA or similar graduate degree in business administration, engineering, computer science or other relevant fields
- 5-10 years of experience especially within the field of IT Infrastructure Operations, IT Strategies and IT Service Management in global organisations
- More than 2 years of experience within the pharma industry or manufacturing
- Experience leading a Service Desk and IT Support unit in a global organisation, and developing strategies, driving innovation and continuous process improvements within such unit
- Experience in managing senior management stakeholders and effective communication.
- Experience in leading or participating in agile transformations, coupled with strong coaching and leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English (written/spoken)

About the department
As Head for ProdOps, you will report directly to the VP of DDIT Product Supply (PS) Production. DDIT PS Production is responsible for the operations and project delivery for global production IT/OT solutions, spanning from Manufacturing Execution Solutions to Manufacturing Intelligence digital products. You will work closely with colleagues across these technology domains to drive operation and project execution excellence across our global production footprint. Overall, you will join the rapidly evolving and growing DD&IT PS area, where over 2000 employees are working across the globe to revolutionise IT and OT across our production and supply chain domain in Novo Nordisk.
