We are hiring both senior and new AI Engineers across DK and UK.

Your new role 

In the Forward Deployed AI Engineering team, you will translate cutting-edge AI into concrete use-cases that create impact across Novo Nordisk and for the patients we serve. Working directly with data scientists, domain experts, and stakeholders, you will act as both advisor and hands-on collaborator. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Taking AI-centric use-cases from ideation to production, collaborating with data scientists, AI engineers, and domain experts across Novo Nordisk 

• Supporting AI process re-imagination through the AI Accelerator framework, working in close collaboration with the AI Reinvent & Engineering team 

• Providing continuous feedback to our AI products and platforms, identifying what needs to be generalised as a service and co-building components with Product AI Engineers (e.g. evaluation benchmarks for agents, infrastructure components)  

• Integrating into existing teams during projects and bringing in best practices

Within Enterprise AI sits AI Framework & Engineering—a dynamic organization of AI Engineers, AI Scientists, and Platform engineers dedicated to delivering impactful AI tooling and solutions across Novo Nordisk. Our mission is to #BringDataToLife by converting data into tangible impact through state-of-the-art AI platforms and governance. We comprise of four key teams: Forward Deployed AI Engineering (reimagining Novo Nordisk with AI by supporting specific business cases and translating innovation to generalisable platform components), AI Core (providing custom AI platforms processing billions of tokens monthly), Citizen AI and BI Platforms (fuelling AI and analytics company-wide), and AI Governance (ensuring Responsible AI practices). We're cloud-native, working primarily with AWS, Databricks, Snowflake and Azure, and we embrace agility, diverse thinking, and continuous learning in a culture built on feedback, honesty, and fun. 

Your skills & qualifications 

We're looking for both new and experienced AI Engineers who thrive on translating technology into business impact while shaping the AI Foundations of Novo Nordisk. Depending on your experience you will bring: 

• Experience with taking AI-centric applications from idea to production and/or being part of a product/platform team 

• 2+ years working with frontier AI technologies (vector databases, semantic search, language models or similar) 

• Functional knowledge of modern AI standards (MCP, A2A, Agent Skills, OpenTelemetry etc) 

• Functional knowledge of modern IDEs and agentic IDE integrations (VSC, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex etc) 

• You are a team player and a great listener who thrives when solving complicated problems 

• Continuous curiosity to learning and following the ever-evolving field of AI  

• Highly self-motivated and self-driven with excellent communications skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Fluency with working with modern software development practices, including CI/CD (preferably within GitHub) 

• High degree of innovation and rapid prototyping 

• An MSc, PhD, or similar graduate degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields
